Although news reports continue to suggest that Liverpool will use Naby Keita as a make-weight in a swap transfer Serie A-based midfielders, there is no evidence the Reds are ready to let the player go.
In fact, Liverpool are working on a new contract with Keita and hope to have it finalised soon. Keita and Liverpool are negotiating a new contract to keep the midfielder at Anfield past the 2022-23 season.
