Mohamed Salah leads the Premier League in goals with 17 and is challenging for a third golden boot award. However, the Egyptian winger has struggled to make significant impacts in Liverpool’s recent Premier League games. He hasn’t scored in his last four league matches and six of those 17 goals this season have come from the penalty spot.
According to Transfermarkt, Salah is worth £108 million, roughly £73m more than what Liverpool paid Roma for him. Liverpool may need to sell one of their famous front three in the summer if the club are to move forward.
The club have struggled to score goals. Just eight goals were tallied over the course of Liverpool’s last 12 league matches. Six of those 12 games saw Liverpool fail to score. On Sunday against Fulham, the Reds put another goose egg on the scoreboard as the Cottagers kept a famous clean sheet win at Anfield.
Liverpool scored just four times in five league matches over the course of February. Coincidentally, Takumi Minamino, who was loaned to Southampton in January, scored two goals for his new club during the month of February.
So, should Liverpool cash-in on Salah and build around Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane?
