Liverpool will wear Nike kits for the first time ever in 2020-21. The Reds agreed on a deal with the American sportswear company that sees the current deal with New Balance ended at the conclusion of this season.
New Balance had created some excellent kits for the Reds during their relationship and it is a shame to see the two entities part ways; especially with the leaked images of Nike’s proposed first home kit for 2020-21.
In the wake of teams releasing new kits for next season, Footy Headlines unveiled leaked images of what Liverpool could have worn if their deal with New Balance had been continued.
Here is a look at what Liverpool could have worn. What do you think?
Clearly, there were some good ideas in these designs, but perhaps not as good as the past few seasons.
One of the reasons for the Reds leaving New Balance was due to the marketing campaign lacking in power compared to Nike’s, which is expected to use North American sports and music celebrities to help grow the brand.
With Nike now set to dress Liverpool, will we see those marketing campaigns and an increase in the availability of items around the globe?
